LAG 11 is GO!
We have confirmed the booking for LAG 11 at the Graham Matthews Youth Centre on Saturday 13th of December 2008 (this coming Saturday).
We hope to see you there and will have our usual wide array of machines on display, hopefully including a SAM440 running OS 4.1.
MacMiga may also be doing a WinUAE installation demo (it all depends if I can stand using Windows for long enough)!
LAG 10.1 Date Confirmed (hopefully!!)
If at first you don't succeed...
With the recent cancellation of LAG 10 due to a venue misunderstanding, we were eager to put on a meeting as soon as possible afterwards. So, in this vein we have booked the venue well in advance and confirmed the booking as best we can with the venue staff.
Details for LAG 10.1 are as follows:

SMEG. LAG 10 postponed :(
We received late word today that we are unable to use the Graham Matthews Youth Centre on Saturday. Although regrettable, we understand the centre is being use by another group, so we have no choice but to postpone LAG 10. Sorry folks. If you made arrangements we apologise but we literally only found out this morning ourselves.
But, have no fear, we are going to try and rebook the centre for a later date. Provisionally we are aiming for Saturday October 4th 2008. We will confirm if this date is a go as soon as we know for sure.
In the mean time, we'd urge you to dust off your Amigas and have a play on Saturday anyway, and if you hope on the Amiga.org IRC channel members of the LAG committee will be there some of the day at least.
We do hope you can make it on the new date. We're determined to get a meeting in before Xmas!!!

Guest and Amiga enthusiast Steve, aka 'Steve30' just dropped us a link to some pictures he took at LAG 9. Thanks!

The Search continues…
Just a note to say our search for a venue is ongoing, we have a few options open to us at the moment, but all need further investigations to establish availability and suitability.
As ever, if anyone has any additional suggestions throw them at: macmiga@lincsamiga.org.uk
LAG 10 postponed for a while
we are currently in the process of finding a new venue for LAG meetings, so as such this month's proposed LAG 10 meeting has been postponed temporarily. I'll post the date for the meeting as soon as I know what it is. Our current plan is to have it in a months time, but don't quote me on that
Lima Alpha Golf – Niner we are clear to launch…
LAG 9 will take place at the usual venue, Lincs Chamber of Commerce, Outer Circle Road, Lincoln, on February 2nd 2008. As usual visitors are welcome as long as you contact us in advance to let us know if you want to drop by.
Our continued thanks go to Gaz and Jackie for organizing our venue, we really appreciate being able to use such a first class facility for our meetings!
LAG 8 Show report and photos
Wow - I must have had too much coffee right? No not really I just have a much easier way of posting to blogs (the wonders of using Mac OS X, see
).
LAG 8 went really well, we had a record turnout! We had 9 people at Saturday's meeting which I believe is an all-time best. We had a lot of varied hardware on display with all the usual suspects, along with newer members Rick and Pete, our Cryptmag regular Barry 'Wisecracker' Walker, the every-zany Terl, and Amiga die-hard Steve.
The only frustrations of the day came from Robert17's Amiga 4000 Desktop suffering a bent pin on a SCSI cable, and both MacMiga's and Gaz_God's EFIKA proving Linux really is a very obtuse OS when it doesn't want to work!!
Photos are online too on our newly upgraded Flickr Pro account:
