“LAG 40 Meeting Report”

Hi,

LAG meeting no 40 went well today.

We had 13 attend and the WiFi was a bit picky, it appeared that everyone who tried to get on but me got connected.

However, I eventually got On-Line.

We downloaded and updated our systems, and played a few games.

Because it's nearly Christmas there was no charge for attendance.

LAG meeting no 41 is planned for January the 3rd 2015.

“LAG 39 Attendance”

Hi,

Welcome to our new member Adam, who with "Hiddenevil.", "Robert17" and me managed to get my spare A1200/Magnum/030/40mhz On-Line in IRC @Amiga.Org chat and Browsing on WiFi.

I'm glad to say we had 13 attend LAG 39 today.

Time seemed to fly by as we worked and I even managed to learn something ;)

“RobertB’s Visit During LAG 38″

Hi,

I received the following E-Mail from our USA Friend Robert Bernardo of "Fresno Commodore User Group" after he visited the LAG 38 Meeting.

Of course. That is my goal.

When you do come back, we can drop down to the "Dambusters Pub" again and see

Oh, more things are being added all the time?

“AmigaKit.com reaches its 10 year anniversary!”

Hi,

Quote

"Way back in June 2004, AmigaKit.com opened it's doors to its first customers.

We are very pleased to reach the 10th anniversary of the launch and would like to make a special thank you to all who has supported us through the last decade!

The small remaining Amiga market is not an easy place to trade and there have been many challenges over the last 10 years.

We hope to achieve even more for the Amiga and our customers in the next 10 years."

Well done Matthew.

We'll keep shopping with you :)

Best Wishes for the future.

Hi,

Amiga.org is regarded as having the potential to be developed as the premier hub of Amiga support knowledge and community discussion.

It could be a wonderful resource to all Amiga users whatever "flavour" they prefer. I have already stated this in the other thread, so I am not sure if you read my comments."

Rik Mayal is dead.

Hi,

Allthough a non Amiga related post Rik and his cohourt Edward Hitler were the source of many a double-entendre and revolving gag at many LAG meetings.

Rik was only aged 56 years old when he died..

See http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-27770266

"Rik Mayall's hit comedies included The Young Ones and Bottom

British comedian and actor Rik Mayall has died aged 56, according to his manager.

He played the obnoxious, poetry-writing anarchist Rick in The Young Ones alongside his friend, Adrian Edmonson.

The duo later went on to star in Bottom and he was also known for appearances in shows including Blackadder and The New Statesman.

He was left seriously ill after a quad bike accident in 1998 which left him in a coma for several days."

RIP mate, you where a true star who cheered us up :)

LAG 37 Meet report

Hi,

We had 7.5 members attended and also 2 new members who appreciated the A1200 we gave them.

Remember the LAG Motto "Spread the Joy and not the Smeg".

I've since heard they have installed a CF Card into it and it's running fine.

Robert17 got Naz's A1200 On-Line using Robs Phone a network cable and a PCMCIA Network Card bought from AmigaKit.

The online connection also used a TP-Link Router with DD-WRT Firmware to act as a bridge from wireless to wired.

I got straight On-Line using WiFi with my A1200 Desktop/Blizzard 1260 and 64 Meg of Fast Ram and a PCMCIA Network Card bought from AmigaKit.

“LAG 34 Report”

Hi,

We had 10 attend LAG meeting no 34 on Saturday the 7th of September.

There where various computers working/being repaired from an Amiga 500 plus SCSI Side Car, Amiga 1200's, an Amiga 1500.

Some users where On-Line and some where gaming.

Robert17 and Naz played "Stunt Car Racer" and "Alien Breed" through their networked Amiga 1200's for a while.

There were also Phones and Netbooks On-Line.

With MacMiga and B00zis great help by getting a Binatone E-Book/WiFi "Device" On-line I used it for a while to chat on Amiga.Org at eu.synirc.net.
